Dear Fashion Friends:

Whitney smiled at Gabriel as she enjoyed his pictures of his Port Austin trip. She also loved sharing ideas with him about a book they were reading for their monthly book club – John Steinbeck’s The Wayward Bus. The dining room at Jumps filled up quickly. They became deeply involved in their conversation; they did not notice the other patrons around them.

Gabriel and Whitney loved fashion and travel. They talked about it for hours on end. As they enjoyed their shrimp stir fry, Whitney told Gabriel about her upcoming excursion to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She and her friends would spend a couple of days in Marquette. Afterward, Whitney and her friends would go to Copper Harbor. One of her friends – a military history buff – wanted to see Fort Wilkins. Gabriel suggested that they take route 41. It is a great route because they would pass through towns like Ishpeming and L’Anse. He also suggested to her that they stop in L’Anse. There, they should visit Falls River and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. At Houghton, they should stop at the Suomi Restaurant, and get the Finnish French Toast. (see https://www.michigan.org/property/suomi-restaurant-inc).

As they talked, Gabriel and Whitney noticed this beautiful young woman wearing this exquisite Blue Floral Belted Maxi (as listed on the www.alyeacollections.com website. See the photos below). Gabriel loved the delicate floral pattern, and Whitney admired its full-length design. They also admired how lovely the young lady looked. She had a sweet face.  Her choice of accessories and makeup was impeccable.

Gabriel and Whitney decided to order some dessert. They ordered a slice of chocolate cake and two coffees. After Copper Harbor, Gabriel suggested that Whitney and her friends stay at the Konteka Inn in White Pine, Michigan. The Inn is not far from Lake in the Clouds and Ontonagon. As Gabriel was going to tell Whitney all about Syl’s, he noticed that the young woman smiled and waved her hand as she saw her friend entered the dining room. Her friend wore this endearing Tie Dye Maxi Dress (as listed on the AC website. See photos below).

Gabriel and Whitney loved the attire’s V-neck design and the beautiful assortment of colors. While they thought she looked exquisite, they also thought about what accessories would go well with the clothing. Gabriel suggested that the young lady wear this Designer Beaded Thick Fashion Butterfly Bangle Bracelet (as listed on the AC website. See photo below). He thought that would blend beautifully with the dress’ bohemian style. Whitney suggested this delightful Beaded Necklace (as listed on the AC website. See photo below) for the outfit (For the Konteka Inn, see https://www.thekonteka.com/. For Syl’s see https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g42554-d2090233-Reviews-Syl_s_Cafe-Ontonagon_Upper_Peninsula_Michigan.html).

They talked for about an hour. Gabriel saw on his smartphone that it was about 2:00 p.m. He had to teach a class at 3:30 p.m, and Whitney had to work the evening shift at Little’s Tony (see https://www.littletonyslounge.com/). After paying the bill, Gabriel walked Whitney to her car. Whitney thanked him for the lovely conversation and lunch. They gave each other a gentle hug and a kiss on the cheek. They promised to text each other later in the evening. As Whitney got into her car, Gabriel thought of this quote from Proverbs 27;9: “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul” (https://www.keepinspiring.me/quotes-on-friendship/).

I hope your visit to www.aleyacollections.com was an enchanting one.

Sincerely,

Gabe xoxo

P.S. This blog post was a piece of fiction. I hope that you will check out the menu of Jumps. You will not be disappointed (See: https://www.jumpsrestaurant.com/).

Another awesome blog, Brother ! You write so well, I could picture it all in my mind. Laura loved both dresses, especially the Tie Die Maxi ! Blessed by the reference to Proverbs 27:9….so true about friendships. Now, I’m craving the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, with coffee, sounds awesome.
Thanks Gabe. Best wishes, Jeff & Laura
