Dear Fashion Friend:
My Prelude to Summer continues with another blouse from the lovely world of www.aleyacollections.com. The floral design, a beautiful mixture of blue, pink, and red, is quite captivating. It very much lives up to Aleya’s stunning flower patterns. The attire goes well with fashion items such as blue jeans, skirts, and pantsuits. Short blue jeans, as seen in the above photograph, add an exciting edge to the attire’s already dazzling array of color! For something formal, however, I would suggest a light green cotton skirt.
I love our model’s face. She reminds me of someone that I met when my family and I visited New England years ago. I was thirteen at the time. Our trip started in Boston. After renting a car and clearing city traffic, we slowly but surely made our way to Waterville, Maine. In Portland, we enjoyed delicious Summer evening meals of New England specialties. When we arrived at Colby College, I saw our spartan dorm rooms as a part of one great adventure! While my Dad attended his conference, I enjoyed nature hikes and the many wonders of college life. During our last night, the college put together a clam bake for the attendees. There, I met this lovely Colby senior. She was one of the students helping out at the clam bake. She was charming and made sure that we had everything that we needed for a beautiful evening. When I think of her, this quote comes to mind: “A smile happens in a flash. Its memory lasts a lifetime.”
I can see our model wearing this blouse for dinner at Boston’s Atlantic Fish Company. She yearned all day for its clam chowder and grilled swordfish. When she arrives, she quickly forgets her a rather hectic day at her boutique and enjoys the comradery of her closest friends. “A good friend.” as she once read, “knows all your best stories. A best friend has lived them with you.”
I hope your visit to www.aleyacollections.com was an enchanting one.
Sincerely,
Gabe xoxo
P.S. The other day, Sacha Lanvin and I discussed the wonders of New England cuisine. Our conversation got me thinking about my time in New England and how much I enjoyed its marvelous culture and food. Thank you, dear friend, for your encouragement and inspiration.
